Located in a coconut farm of 100 hectares encircled by the purest Atlantic bush, in the paradisiacal Itacarezinho beach, the Txai Resort is 48km from the north of Ilhéus and 15 km from the south of Itacaré. The Txai is in the city oh Itacaré in the south of Bahia, and has the Brazilian culture printed in each detail of its decoration and architecture. The city has too many colonial characters and buildings that are like the time it was the main port of cocoa exportation of the south of the Bahia at the beginning of the last century. In the 80’s, a fungus wiped out most of the cocoa plantations (from where chocolate and cocoa are produced) leading to the city’s decline. Itacaré (that means beautiful stone in the Indian language), restarted to grow up recently when the tourism industry started to increase, revealing all the beauty of its rivers, waterfalls, forests e beaches.
